Yes, but I am still going to push for change rather accept a failing system. What other choice is there?

The fastest route to real change is to:

#1 Stop treating corporations as people (there is a sad history about that that wool got pulled over the nation's eyes, but I don't have the time for it. Everyone should google it. RD version - corporations were not always treated as people)

#2 Get rid of lobbying (also there was a time that it was borderline illegal in the US)

#3 Get rid of gerrymandering (much easier than people think).

#4 Publicly funded campaigns, or at least only individual contributions - no money from unions, corporations, super packs, etc.

#5 Complete separation between state and federal parties (since so many people are keen on state rights, this should appeal to both sides except the political parties).

Do these, and everything else will fall into place. Don't do them, and you are only rearranging the chairs on the deck of the Titanic.
