Pugs,

Don't know if you are familiar with him, but DC area boxer Rubin Bell (fought Simon Lebond, fairly promising fighter i guess) was shot and killed tonight outside a DC cancer clinic. A few others hurt but police said he appeared to be the target. He was there receiving a treatment for colon cancer. Go figure. Sheer madness and one more reason I'm glad I don't have a passport for DC. Geez.

Mark

Pugs,

It was the British who first utilized "concentration" camps. During the Boer War, it was.

And history has taught us that if you have something, someone else wants to take it from you.

Present US society since the days of Bretton Woods has attempted to alter this through free-market theory. Have everyone's economies so intertwined that no one will be willing to engage in horrific total wars over territory or resources.

Obviously we are seeing mixed results and the jury is still out on where we'll end up, but it certainly beats the old imperialism that proceeded it.

The difference between Capitalism and Communism is that with Capitalism man exploits man. With Communism its the other way around.

I don't know where society will be in twenty years Pugs, but it will be where neither you or I expected it.

Regards,

Ron
