SHORT INTEREST INFO

GTIS has 1.12 million shorts as of 1-15-98. The float is
21.0 million shares. Days to cover is 4.31 days. GTIS
looked very strong Friday and I believe that next week
will root out at least 1/4 of the total shorts. Earnings
are due out Feb. 17 after the bell. Plus the next 2
weeks ought to be positive due to earnings run up
and short covering. Looking for 8 to 9 by end of the
month, if earnings and outlook are positive. IMO GTIS
is one of the most undervalued stocks and is a bargain
at these prices. GTIS has a great P/E ( 13 ) and good
growth outlooks. GTIS also has room for more
analyst 's upgrades. Long at 5 3/4. Eat my shorts shorts.

<<but I hardly buy the notion that GTIS had all the responsibility for the poor performance (MPRS sales).>>

I couldn't agree more. The most incredible thing of all is that Microprose wants us to believe that their failed merger with GT caused product delays. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the game designers and programmers just keep working on a game until it's done, regardless of what is happening on the corporate front. Microprose seems to be suggesting that their programmers all took a couple months off when they heard about the planned merger. One of the lamest excuses I've ever heard.
