I was thinking the same thing myself. It seems like more than a coincidence that the day PAIR comes out with quarterly earnings, U S West announces the Netspeed deal. Charlie even mentioned that he was not happy they did that. Now just after PAIR announce the Sprint deal U S West puts this out. Sure seems like bad blood. Maybe they are worried that PAIR is going to provide better service at a cheaper price and Sprint will move in on them.

Maybe U S West is P*ssed because they couldn't get Sprint to go with their buddies over at Netspeed. Maybe Netspeed needs more front money to fund the U S West deal and was hoping to get it from Sprint.
