If you move around enough, you get to realize different ethnicities and cultures are like different foods. You may have your personal preferences, but at the end of the day you can find great tasting nutritious food and terrible junk food in every culture. This doesn't mean that all food are the same or that even all good/bad food are the same. But the differences are in taste, not substance. BTW, despite Hollywood portrayal of Russians and eastern Europeans as inherently brutish lawbreakers, my personal experience has been quite the opposite. They were more likely to obey the law and made warm loyal friends.
