Hello, On the contrary. Tripp is the type of friend you would want, just make sure you're not going to perjure yourself or hide crimes for the president. Go to the NY times board and you'll find many that think tripp is lying because she wants to get the pres. Tripp isn't a stupid women. She was unfairly maligned by Bennet and she was determined to show that their was a conspiracy to hide the truth. As for the new Clairol spokeswoman Monica L.--I really do like how her hair bounces up and down in that shot of leaving Watergate--she has been known to have a very big mouth-no pun inteneded. Her affair with Bleiler was true and she told everyone about it so why would she then lie about having a president briefing when history tells us otherwise. But think about how people would respond to you if you told them about having an affair with the president, no one would believe you. That is exactly what she probably wanted. She could blab about the truth but because it seemed to ridiculous, no one would take her seriously. Brilliant on her part, I must add.

I would agree with you Janice that as a mature woman you'd be very discreet as are most women who've had affairs with famous, even non-famous, people. But take the present situation in the present day with a very immature woman. I've heard many of these type women brag about who've they've bedded-the celebrities they've scored, etc. Witness the 'groupies' who follow celebrities around; be they rock stars, sports stars, etc.; and keep running totals on their hits. They make it a point to let people know too, otherwise why go to the trouble? One especially finds many of these types out here in Hollyweird land. Monica strikes me as just such a person and she made the biggest score of all. halfscot
