Hi Gregor,
Thank you for the encouraging words and prayer. You do not know how timely they are. AMEN. Bob

Brother Gregor, I call on you for the wisdom which God has so abundantly given you. I've been troubled all day from a man I met this morning. He's a Christian, having been newly saved in jail last year. He's out now, trying to find work. He's apparently sincere and very outspoken about the Lord. But, he has a lot of baggage: almost 40 criminal convictions, including several felonies; no job; pregnant girlfriend; child support arrearages; and I'm sure a lot of other things he didn't mention. I felt this sense of desparation coming from him, like he was trying to hold on to God for dear life but didn't really know if he could do it. I believe he's sincere, as he had nothing to gain from me by pretending.
I'll probably see him again soon, not sure what to tell him. He's in a good church, that's a start. I have no experience in prison ministry, but I'm sure there's a lot of pressure to backslide.
Prayers? Words of wisdom? Anything?
