White House is saying that President Clinton consulted with Madame Currie to re-affirm the facts about his relationship with Monica.

This is ludicrous! He talked with Madame Currie after he gave his deposition!

Now can you tell me why the president and Vernon Jordan would have gone to the trouble to get an affidavit from Monica denying everything...

Huh? Monica was deposed by Paula Jones's attorneys. Clinton and Jordan had nothing to do with it. It's exactly this sort of misperception and misunderstanding of basic fact that gives rise to even more rumor and sensationalism than we'd ordinarily have.
