Joe,

You are paying far too much on commissions. Who is your broker? I use PBS and they are about $17.50 one way trading with options.

Hal

joe,
Feb. 22.5's is pushin' a little tight(I Think). Time will start workin' against you there.
On 15 contracts, I'd look MAYBE at March 20 calls. There you got better than 2.00 right now. Your Feb. 22.5 are at 3/8 with 5/16 on the bid and 1/2 on the ask. Keep in mind you gotta pop for the comissions! That don't leave much!
If you take your 1500/shares and calculate your in and out commission and add that to your stock price. Then subtract your 472.00 gain from the total cost and divide by 1500/shares. You got to the penny what you have in those 1500/shares. I always make my comissions a little higher than what they are, that way I don't screw myself!
Now you know what you've got exactly. Say once you've done this you see now you've got (I forgot what you paid for the 1500/shares. However after you figure up your true cost total less the 472.00 you made today.
Look for March stuff that(Should the shares be exercised) you still got a gain. The March 20's may work or you maybe can do the March 22.5's.
They are at 1 1/16 on the bid and 1 1/4 on the ask. Those will put you above your cost. If PAIR doesn't gap up early Monday you can pick up about 1500.00 dollars. If it dips you may get a little more. The March 22.5's look the best to me right now. But keep in mind, Monday may look completely different. This way joe no matter what you don't have to take a loss. You won't have a huge gain but you don't lose. You can always buy back in! If PAIR has the momentum going you buy back in at less than 1500/shares say a thousand or even 500 and start moving calls on those. If PAIR dips a point or two on a given day you pick up more.
My comission rate usually averange out even if I buy smaller quantities.
Finally after you've done a few trades, what I did was went to my broker and started talkin' about, if we're gonna do a lot of this, how 'bout cuttin' me some slack on the comissions.(Worked for me. I'm the kind of person that needs one. You let me do this on my own and I'd be like a guy with a rifle in a high tower! NOT GOOD!)
Hope this helps joe,
Best to ya,
Jay

PS. joe these are only ideas, talk all this stuff over with your broker first! If you don't have one, make friends with one and pick his brain!

PSS. I also hate this spell check! half my page is RED!!!!!!

PPSS> joe, Hal is right you are payin' a lot on comissions. I pay about half to one third of that and I use a boutique brokerage firm.
