Paul,
Else you give the impression that Goldman would actually hire someone like this as an analyst, let me assure you, he is, as you say, a "charlatan". Contrary to popular opinion, there are some analysts who are good.
Regards,
Jules

If that is the kind of "analyst" that Wall Street hires, I am more than ever convinced my opinion of these charlatans is correct.

Paul--
Given the love people have for analysts on this thread, I am of the opinion that of young GS analyst was putting us on. I might be wrong, natch, but why come to the Intel page for info on a prospective job?

Seems like the message was a tongue-in-cheek jab at analysts, IMHO.

Cheers!
Rick

Paul -

Re: "If that is the kind of "analyst" that Wall Street hires, I am more than ever convinced my opinion of these charlatans is correct."

On Wall Street the term "analyst" has two meanings: 1) someone who is paid to analyze companies and present their opinions to their customers, and 2) the title an entry-level employee receives upon entering the company out of college.

Based on Saju's posting, I assume that he is a "type 2" analyst.
