Maybe. But I think the phase for fast bounces off any dip is gone. Now stocks will actually have to build a base to bounce off of. And I don't see any base building yet. The most positive thing would be to have a *mildly* upward MA based on a bunch of higher lows and higher and highs. If we were to actually have sharp bounces like we've had for the past 18 months, it may foretell a sharper drop in a not too distant future.

Plus I think it is at worst an even bet that we are in a 10% correction. Which is to say NDX could/should hit 15k before it can build a base.

When I say "follow" oil, what I mean is that take a look at the chart of WTIC (or Brent for that matter). And if that chart tells you buy me, then you can go ahead and buy the stock market too. But if it says, not yet, then that is your answer.

So yes, all the futures, including oil, are up tonight. And maybe this is the bottom or maybe it isn't. But the charts so far don't jump out and say buy me.

I put in about a dozen GTC buy orders today, some pretty nearby. We'll see if they get filled before the year end. If none do, then this is the bottom <g>
