Google the franchise "Vision Source".

A good friend of mine from East Texas created the franchise.

I'd be very surprised if you have to wait that long and pay that much.

Hope that helps.

He traveled nationally for years , putting together the local area's top Optometrists, to become members.

His entire thesis was collective purchasing and economies of scale.

In addition they have top of line equipment and your eyes are digitally recorded to track the possibility of Macular Degeneration.

I'm due for an eye exam and need stronger readers and replace my scratched windsurfing sunglasses with new ones.. plus I might get sunglass bifocals to try driving. I think Costco Optical the exam is $79. Before that I used to go to the eye doctor attached to Foreyes who was very reasonable too

I've never had to wait more than a day or two to get an appointment at Costco.
