"I think you will do yourself a favor to open your eyes to the possibility that FBI, perhaps in collusion with the Speaker, did create the violent part of the protest as an effort to dump blame on Trump"

There's a possibility that the players were all shape-shifting lizards from outer space, too.

As to the original post, you must admit that they do shoot a hole in the theory that anyone is actively TRYING to create the situation at the Capitol.

To the extent your "situation at the Capitol" means bashing cops and smearing excrement, I would agree.

But the claim in the original post was that the quotes "confirmed" that:

Trump and his inner circle did not want the protesters to storm the Capitol

That is not supported by the quotes. The quotes do not contradict that statement but neither do they support it let alone "confirm" it. The quotes only confirm that some were distressed at how ugly it played out and hopeful of cutting the losses.

Whether it was a FBI setup or incited by provocateurs does not change the meaning of the quotes nor validate the reading of them, which was cognitively incompetent.

I'm responding to your response, not Tom's original post.

You have only in this last message even vaguely responded to my issue, which was about the dearth of critical thinking displayed in the original post, not the events at the Capitol. Virtually all of your comments have been off topic.

I think you will do yourself a favor to open your eyes to the possibility that FBI, perhaps in collusion with the Speaker, did create the violent part of the protest as an effort to dump blame on Trump.
FBI reports to the president, not to the speaker.
So, you are accusing Trump of giving order to FBI to organize attack on Capitol.
If you have any evidence of that you must report Trump and FBI to 1/6 Congress committee.
