Holly, I don't believe the truth is very subjective, if one is being TRANSPARENTLY truthful, as Kenneth Starr would say, and is strictly responding to specific questions under oath. For example, these are all 'yes' or 'no' questions:

Did Monica Lewinsky give a dress, a brooch, or any other items to you and ask you to hold them for her?

To your knowledge, were the president and Monica Lewinsky ever alone together when you were at the White House?

Did you ever sign Miss Lewinsky in late at night or on weekends to see the president?

Did you ever overhear what seemed to be a sexual act taking place between Miss Lewinsky and the the president?

Did you ever hide in the bathroom when the president was with Miss Lewinsky, to avoid an embarrassing situation?

I mean, yes or no!! Indeed, what you seem to be saying between the lines is that a secretary's duty is to evade the truth under oath unless it strikes her in the head. Please correct me if I am wrong.

You are free to make and serve coffee if you would like, Holly. The fact that you feel you are making coffee because you are not only liberated but secure in that role is something that you may carry inside you, but that does not mean a new employer noticing your willingness will assume you are anything but a doormat. I don't know any secretaries who still perform servile functions like that UNLESS they are reciprocal when the boss has a moment to make and serve coffee as well.

Of course, nice bosses like that aren't the type to engage young women their employ in non-reciprocal sex acts, either.
