Matt,

I see that your investment strategy is very speculative, almost down right gambling! If your still insist on your way of investing, try Vegas. You would have more fun and lost much less money. In case if you are interested in going to Vegas, my buddy from LA posting by the name of Yo Eleven would teach all you ever want to know about crap. His personal profile is:

If you finally wakes up and want to INVEST, try technology leaders like Intel (especially), Cisco, Dell, etc. And stop wasting your time or day-dreaming about somebody else taking over AMD. If that ever happened, it would be on the other company's terms. No one in the right of mind would want to challenge Intel in such a way. Have you noticed that National (since taking over Cyrix) are very humble about the way to handle Intel?

Lot's of luck to your speculative investment and hope you can sleep well at night,
John.

Matt, Leaps are a good thought buttiming is critical right now there is no telling when AMD will return to profitability. Eventually they will. Let them show you a profit before thinking about buying leaps. otherwise the decay value loss could be extensive. best bet now for a stockholder is to sell covered calls. As for a bottom it will be event driven. Any good news on the conversion to .25u and the stock will have bottomed. A shot of bad news could drop the stock to a 30% discount to book. Book is now 14.85 or so...$10.00 would be the temporary bottom. Untill more bad news came out..then lower by a Fibinacchi retracement 62% or 5.625...
