Re: Old Folk Portfolio ... Buys

Today I added to some positions that needed to be brought up in size. These positions were underweight and I want to bring them up closer to a full position.

I am looking for a balance between current income and income growth. The CEF's and ETF are for immediate income goals and the equities are for longer term dividend growth as I don't expect the CEF's to continue raising their distributions.

The minimum yield for consideration is 2.5%.

BOT:

QYLD ... 12.85% yield (ETF)
ETV ...... 7.95% yield (CEF)
ETY ...... 7.46% yield (CEF)
EOI ....... 6.54% yield (CEF)
CII ........ 5.42% yield (CEF)
CM ....... 4.27% yield
RY ........ 3.49% yield
AEP ...... 3.48% yield
AMGN .. 3.41% yield
CLX ...... 2.64% yield
LNT ...... 2.62% yield
CMI ...... 2.56% yield

This group of assets combined carry a yield of 5.21% and a dividend growth rate of 4.60%, a very nice balance between current income and longer term income growth.

A very brief synopsis of the CEF's purchased today can be found in the link below.
