Why do you think I stopped supporting Obama for his 2nd term? That is what got me banned from the liberal threads. But it would not have been any different if a Republican had been in the office. They too would have bailed out the Wall Street.

Again, there is a big difference between what should be and what is. To put this in historical context, what do you think happened to the common people when there was organized armed robbery? The poor farmers get conscripted to die or lose a limb while the knights and lords got the loot. Was it fair? Of course not. But this is how it has always been. In feudal Japan a bystander could be beheaded on the spot by a samurai just so that the rest of the village understands how displeased their lord is with them and get the message from the example. It is much better now because instead of losing your life and limb you lose your house and instead of being beheaded on the spot the courts hand out cruel sentences to convey the social sentiment. It is progress. Just not as much as you want it to be.

OT ... No offense but you seem to confuse this forum with some sort of (social) justice soap box.

It’s a common problem on SI these days.

I liked the old SI which was 99% investment oriented. A time when posters labeled anything not investment related “OT” and moderators were quick to take soap boxes away.
