Hang in there and good luck to you. I was wondering whether my wife and I should receive the boosters ASAP, we decided to do so in the middle of November, that was fortuitous timing as Omicron exploded within weeks....

You should continue to improve. I MIGHT have gotten it before it was "officially" in the Silicon Valley back in December 1999 about a week after being in a large gathering in a Chinese restaurant banquet room with many who had just returned from China on business trips. I had the worst cough in decades... probably felt the worst I'd felt since getting measles and chickenpox as a kid... but Costco Severe Cold Meds kept the fever away and I could still work on my newsletter and go for hikes outside but I skipped my yoga classes thinking all that coughing would not be attractive nor nice to others I might spread whatever I had to.

I heard on the news last night when the younger female anchors who do more of a magazine than a news show let it out that they both had what it seems I had back then... but we're all still getting vaccinated and boosted as we don't want to get it again or worse if what we got was not COVID. It seemed to take over a year for my lungs to feel normal but I never know if that was from smoking, despite hitting 25 years since I quit.

I watch the news fairly well and the data from Israel, Taiwan and South Africa is often lightyears ahead of US news.... so I got the booster as soon as it was available... a couple of days and I had to sign some form saying I was on the "list" of comorbidity items to get it... which for me was a BMI over 25 (lowered from 35 for the first shots which I had to wait for until they let us younger than 65 get them.)

From the White House posted on FB today

"Our vaccines are the most powerful tools we have against COVID-19 and all of its variants. Get vaccinated. Get your booster."
