Hi Sun,

PPG is huge on paint. Both new OEM and aftermarket body shops.

We use PPG only at our body shop.

Do you know that a custom gallon of a paint with pearl in it can cost $1000.00 - that's not a typo.

A gallon of clear coat is over $100.00

I suspect Boeing is a huge buyer of paint - not sure if it is PPG.

PPG also has a wonderful product for sealing glass . It's called AquaPel. We put it on every new and used car. It stops glass from holding water. Uses a polymer vs Rain-X which uses silicon. AquaPel lasts months to years vs. weeks with Rain-X

PPG of course sells auto glass big time

Dupont does a lot of auto sealants and auto paints

Tire makers have to be slow as well on a global basis.

OEM's like to keep their drivetrains proprietary - keeps them coming back for parts. True especially for big trucks.

Smaller subsystems or components like window assemblies or interiors, Eaton, Johnson controls
