Ahem. Lindy's rules required Lindy to sort through and post articles. Lindy's dead so that rule can't possibly apply. Derick no doubt has a job and other responsibilities, it would be hard to duplicate Bill's function. And I might add that Bill was a phenomenally fast reader or scanner or skimmer, with a good eye. I like Bill's thread. Still. The same people post there who always did (minus Bill). I miss his aggregation, forces me to spend time in other places. I also think that Lindy's spirit seems to hover over the posters there, I think it's a tribute to his memory that the thread continues and that people who post there maintain the respectful tone Bill fostered. But what do I know. I certainly don't know anything about the back room operations of SI so have no idea how they are "handling" it. Edit: Lindy's thread rules also changed over the years, it was much more conversational for most of it's existence. The rules changed when Bill's (interest?) ability to wade through hundreds of post declined. He explained his reasons at the time and applied them consistently (for the most part). But whatever.

When I first became aware of Bill Millan's sad passing I posted the following on his thread .... Message 33601929 ...... I made the suggestion that SI Management should seriously consider appointing a Moderator for that thread in order to ensure that its future would be in line with how LindyBill envisaged it. I very soon received responses from two regular contributors ..... Message 33602081 Message 33602147 ...... informing me that "the keys" had been handed over to a certain D. Long who would "patrol any bad behavior, .... and luckily things have gone smoothly since Bill's passing." So one has to wonder if that has, in fact, been the case ...... and if not, Why ?!!
