Much of the Republican base actually votes against their own best interests Exactly - that's my point. It took Democrats decades of hard work to turn away their natural base - white working class and farmers vote overwhelmingly for Republicans. Why don't you think about it instead of screaming "Republicans are Evil!" Democrats become party of minorities and LGBT and they have to count on changes in demographics. We'll see how it will work for them in 2022 and 2024.
