Lizard...I hope no one minds me jumping in here and offerring my opinion on your question re: shorting bbtk. From what I know so far about all this (I am not a seasoned trader by any stretch of the imagination) I would think that shorting should be done just the reverse of buying. It seems to me that someone thought this was good news regardless of what you might think. So they may still think it is good news on Monday. I looked at yesteday's daily chart and this stock was up on heavy volume and closed at the top of it's daily trading range which appears positive to me. If this is a stock you want to short, I would think you should watch it very carefully in the morning to see what it does. I also noticed that there are not alot of shares outstanding so I would imagine you are subject to higher spreads and manipulation. Any comments on what I just wrote are welcome since this is a learning process for me and I am learning much from this and several other SI threads.
Melissa

Hi Lizard,

stock is up almost 4 points in two trading days

I will generally consider shorting a "gainer" for only a short period of time(a few hours at most normally). I find longer term plays may or may not work out.

Usually you will find momentum stocks predictable for about 2 days after the original reason for the momentum such as NEWS. This is a nervous market and anything can happen on a daily basis.
