I have held the Mouse since mid 1980's.

There is absolutely no brand that comes anywhere close to the power of Disney.

None.

What I know:

There is a bill that will extend copyright protection another 20 years - for a total of 95 years. That would give Disney another 25 years protection for its earliest works.

Looks like it will ultimately pass.

Even so, many in the intellectual property arena say Disney can legally defend the Mouse on trademark grounds, which has no strict time limits.
