Then watch Dopesick on Hulu. Big Pharma (Purdue) also caused that.

So regulation can be useful.

Not sure how you measure success, but I obviously don't share your idea of appropriate metrics. These jabs are two orders of magnitude more dangerous than any actual vaccine ever released for a disease that has effective early treatment options and effective prophylactic options. Why is vitamin D never mentioned by "health authorities" when it's the proven single, cheapest, most effective prophylaxis against death from Covid-19? It's all about the $.

And before you get too misty eyed over big pharma, they didn't create these clot shots either. The nano-lipid encasement technology, that made mRNA jabs viable as a medical procedure (not vaccine) comes from the laboratory of Pieter Cullis, a biochemist at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, and several companies that he founded or led.

Big Pharma didn't create the Pfizer vaccine. BioNTech created it. It's (was at the time) a tiny German company run by a husband and wife.

US Pharma needed government money to create a vaccine.
