**OT** Jim Lou:

That is what scares me about shorting this stock. When will people expect the company to make more than a few cents a share to justify a stock price of almost $100? I'm going to let the free-fall begin and get going for a time before I jump in.

********* OT AOL short *************
I want to short AOL too! They have a very bad dial access and they're
arogant. I have wanted to short it since it was at $45. Now it is
close to $100. Can't wait any longer. Any strategies would be welcome.

I'm with ya man on shorting SOL, I mean AOL. How about the typical short strategy with your basic protection: Buy a deep out of the money call for cheap premium, then short away! This protects you from a runaway on the upside.

Might just do that myself. This thing with Netscape could be the perfect catalyst for a huge downward move in AOL. That is of course, if AOL is STUPID enough to consider a purchase of NSCP. Why they would want to align themselves directly against MSFT is beyond me.

Good thing you didn't short at 45.

shorting aol appears to be the opposite of following the falling knife theory of stocks. instead trying to short a stock that defies gravity must also have a term. good luck.
