Mine is too. Removing large amounts of fluid and injecting cortisone helped alot for me around 3 years ago, up to a point. Knee replacement was recommended but I wanted to try different angles.

6 months ago I gave up all spicy food, and started with 10 k vit D, gradually increasing to 20 k a day.

Today walked 10.5 miles with no knee pain, it feels strong, best in over 4 years but it will never be perfect imho. Last summer my limit was a half mile and came limping home, Not trying to influence your decision, just adding my 2 cents. I'll let you know my further progress if you're interested.
