As far as Ike.. about the only power unscathed from WW2 was the U.S. Overseas economic recovery was fully funded by the U.S. If one thinks the 'Cold War' was won by the neocons & the military industrial complex.. they're sadly mistaken. West Germany, Japan, S.Korea (minor blip) thrived. A few miniscule bucks invested into foreign aid was a much more proven success event than any additional military preparedness beyond the American umbrella. Trump.. wrong man for the wrong time. He's not a leader. When dealing with assumed hostile spheres of whatever political nature, money doesn't work well if at all. China & Russia do not want our money.. they want us to kiss their fat asses.

Same here. I am a Democrat, but I did not vote for Hillary when she ran against Trump because she may be even worse. Many Americans never traveled beyond their own neighborhood. As a head of State Department she put us on the brink of WW3 with Russia during first Ukrainian crisis. She is also responsible for most totalitarian human rights violating piece of legislation in the US of late 1990-s, the child adoption and safety act, which ripped apart many children from their mostly poor but loving families for government grant money. This is actually against the basic UN human right of raising your own child. The only similarity I have to what she has done was the fate of my own dad under Stalin. He was ripped from his family because my grandfather was executed in Stalin purges of 1937-1939, later rehabilitated. My dad spent a few years in prison at the age of 5 as the son of the enemy of people, later shipped to foster care. His mom later found him through the efforts of Lenin’s wife Krupskaya who helped families repressed by Stalin. Grandma wrote to her, and she found my dad, but his 2 brothers were dead from German bombings. Similar things are happening to American kids under Hillary’s ASFA. Naturally I did not vote for her. You can Google CPS legal kidnapping to see what I am talking about. This is “free” America vs Stalinist Soviet Union. Not a pretty comparison.
