Skeeter Bug,

You are not so ignorant and what you say is true. But affirmative action has little to do with actual hiring. And the jobs I mention are indirect. Affirmative action is the practice of setting aside contracts, mostly construction contracts, which are to be awarded to firms which are owned by minorities. A company which is owned by a white male cannot be awarded the contract. This is no longer needed and is purely a socialist concept. I work for the government and some of the most difficult contracts are these. Although some of the better companies are owned by minorities they seem to grow to a size bigger than allowed for these contracts.

BTW. One of the better minority contractors was owned by Don Curry. He is now a comedian for the show Grace under Fire. Plays a contractor no less.
