Andy,

Thanks for the quick response!

Sounds very interesting. I guess I didn't expect you to comment on any dealings with @HOME or RoadRunner unless they had already been announced. Too many employees have gotten in trouble for saying things they shouldn't on threads like these so I should be careful what I ask. But it is my feeling that your company would be able to gain dominance if it had access to customers that other services did not; or you offered games that other services did not. From this perspective I would wonder if your agreements with game makers could prevent them from offering their games through other services. Please correct me if I am missing something.

The basics sound very good considering the appetite for such a service. I had underestimated the advertising revenues but that's a pleasant surprise. The Mpath Foundation sounds interesting. What kind of R&D budget do you have and how much proprietary technology have you developed? Also, from an investor's point of view, is their a ballpark date set for IPO?

Thanks for your help,
John

(snip). In addition, we have established peering relationships to speed the interconnection between backbones owned by companies such as WorldCom and MCI, etc.(snip)

...what is you take on this fresh article from news.com?

""Internet weather" sites report on network performance. They are concerned because one of their own, the Internet Status Operation (ISO), buckled under the pressure of a letter from MCI Communications' legal department. That letter protested statistics that showed MCI suffering between 14 percent and 21 percent packet loss over the past several weeks."
