Sounds like your alomost there. You can "remove" the AOL files.

Why do you have two workgroups ?. Put the whole system on workgroup zeusnet, assuming it's all one network your doing they need to be in the same workgroup to see each other. You say the Compaq sees zeus1 and zeus2 (zeus2 is the Aptiva?). If you rename the zeus2 to zuesnet workgroup it should work.

Win95 does not allow version upgrades, or at least I haven't been able to get it to work. MS has about 4 or 5 versions of Win 95 and everytime I've tried to "upgrade" I just get "Win 95 already installed". The only way I've been able to upgrade my ver of Win95 is a complete reformat and reload with the newer version.

Leave the newer files, the older ones probable won't work right with the NIC's, as far as the ISA card versus the PCI slot card, that depends on your system, if the NIC is installed and being seen by the system leave it and work on your network configuration issues. If it's not seeing the card at all, switch and maybe it'll fix the problem. Here's where SysAdm get interesting, trying to figure out what hardware conflict issues you have based on the different units your running, slot options and even manufactures issue with the perphials and unit.

What IRQ / COM port is your modem set for ?
What was using the IRQ 3 you took and than changed ?
The IRQ 11 should be no problem nor cause any conflict, but we need to figure out what the 3 was for. Maybe your modem or printer ?

My brother is color blind and I use to laugh all time watching him trying to match colored wires somtimes, of course after me own first "zap" I began to appreciate his frustration.........
