pooch, I first learned that Buffett was buying silver on the AMAT thread and practically had an accident (remember when you were being house trained as a little pup?). The silver's only 2% of BRK's holdings so it's hard to argue that it's a major hedge against a pronounced market decline but when you add in the summer bond purchases, I think it's fair to conclude that the Sage doesn't think this market is undervalued! Michael, hadn't read through all the posts. Thanks for your FCC horror story reminder. They sound almost as bad as the FDA. I'm from the government and I'm here to help? I take it then that you are okay with Q management on this one, i.e., happens in the best of well managed companies? Mike Doyle
