Key would be "how early?"

Key question. If they were sick enough to be hospitalized (e.g. ICU or even worse, ventilators), they're already in serious danger since the virus has replicated out of control. Since Ivermectin is an antiviral, it works best before the virus is well established. Although there are cases of it working after hospitalization, the success rate would be much lower. The prevention protocol I'm on is the lowest recommended dose twice weekly. I also watch my temperature and oxygen saturation carefully and am self-aware of other symptoms (e.g. sneezing, coughing, any shortness of breath, smell/taste changes, etc). The best offense is a good defense.
