Qone0, What should Biden do? You didn't ask me, but I'll answer anyway. Two options: 1) Brandon shouldn't do anything. He should just give token statements about how Putin is bad bad bad, then maybe levy some "targeted" sanctions just to prove how "serious" he is. 2a) "Cancel" Russia. Block everything. Complete trade embargo. Cut Russia off from the Internet (as much as possible). Cut Russia off from the banking networks. Don't buy anything from Russia, don't sell anything to Russia. Have every other nation in NATO do the same. Other countries can join in or not, but those who continue to trade with Russia may face further repercussions. 2b) Meanwhile, accelerate the expansion of NATO and give Putin the middle finger. Countries that were on the fence with regard to NATO membership might change their minds now. Accept them immediately. Whatever we do, we shouldn't pussyfoot around. Either resist fully or maintain a policy of non-intervention. Tenchusatsu

Joe, Re-instate Trump's energy policy and border policies immediately. Stop importing Russian oil. Squeeze their bank accounts. Check into memory care.
