Hi Jan: most of the quotes are from books or magazine articles from my "investment library," and if I ever start running low, I've got an entire book of quotes and cartoons called "Wall Street Wit & Wisdom," although most of these are pretty lame. It usually takes more than a one-liner to convey anything useful.
I have "cliff notes" versions that I've compiled for many of my books, so I just cut and paste from these. Sometimes it's tough to keep it under a couple paragraphs though. I find that if you try and put what you've read into your own words, you find out how well you really understand it. Usually, it brings up many more questions that you didn't have when you were just absorbing the words, so you end up learning far more than from just reading.
