At least as long as Putin or Putin sympathizers are in charge of the country." I hope you are right, we have some relatives in the western part of the country near Lviv. What is occurring is tragic. Ukraine has the benefit and curse of location, fertile land, but wedged between east and west. I do wish Biden had gone even further, with SWIFT and Putin sanctions.

I'm really wondering how sane Putin is, at this point. Putin is 70 years old, and I've read that he wants a historical legacy of being one of the 'Great Russian Leaders', like Czar Nicholas II or Stalin. If so, his time is getting short. Putin is basically a thug gansta leader with more nukes than anyone on Earth. Will he use them if needed for his plans? Do we want to find out?
