o.k.---i know this is dificult for most of you to fathom, but here's the battle plan for the day. the latest el nino has passed, we're in the midst of a 24-48 hour lull in the rain, the sun is shining and we're going to GO to the snow. you see, it doesn't come to you here in socal, so when you want it, you must go to it.
so, we're packing up the baby and i'm grabbing the old lady (my favorite part) and we'll drive about an hour and a half northeast of us to friends house in the san bernardino mountains so baby (now 3 1/2) can make her first snow angels. a couple of hours of frollicking, some hot toddies to keep my old bones warm and lubricated and then we'll fight the traffic of millions of others who have the left the warmth, calm and coziness of their sunday's to also GO to the snow. of course, we'll have an advantage in that we're going to a friends house to play. others may try to play today, but may find their favorite mountain closed---because too many people want to GO to the snow.
and that my friends, is what living in socal is all about. s.k.

steve in socal, what makes me so freaking smart is my good midwestern stock. we also have a good enough education system to teach us the use of the SHIFT key, that's what.

(Actually I just wanted to boast a little over my good fortune. I know I'll pay for it later. The market will soon prove how little I do know about AIM.)
