Everyone has short memories. Russian trade will go back to the old status quo, they will have security of their borders and they will have secured the region that produces 12% of the worlds corn and wheat, not to mention oil/mineral resources.
If you don't think people have short memories, less than 5 years after the 70-80s oil crisis, the whole SUV craze began. Serial market bubbles, 2 recessions and saving right now is crashing while debt is soaring again. People never learn. We tried to bring back some manufacturing and the first thing the factory workers did was strike and make ridiculous demands.
Everyone needs Russian oil, aluminum etc so all will be forgiven quickly and life will return to normal+. I bet right now, financial traders are chomping at the bit to buy the now cheaper Russian currency, stocks etc.
