While I did not do tech like you, I did introduce over 4,000 new consumer products, came up with over 50 brand names and trademarks, and led a team that had many award winning designs, both in products and packaging. There is innovation out there all the time. It's just that it is so varied and diverse we lose sight of it. Tens of millions of people have bought my products over the years, and the value and utility of them gave them a higher standard of living. While it's not Star Trek, it's just 1-guy's stuff he did. There are lots of people like this.
