All the kids at school when I was under 12 seemed to have Wonder Bread. I always had rye bread. I was glad to have a parent who cared about nutrition when I was young.

I made my own school lunches from 3rd grade on.

my father's father was a baker.. before that a harness maker (horses), had to adapt to change.
local bakeries always made just rye bread since most families made potato bread at home. all good.
