No doubt that TI is wanting to emphasize their high margin DSPs over their razor margined DRAM. But DRAM is an essential component for what MANY think is THE market of the next 10 years - HDTV. Estimates are $400-600B. I would think TI would want to maintain in-house access to DRAM needs. No doubt though, ahead of the Q1 and Q2 looming dark clouds (as evidenced already with Qualcom), they will be highlighting their DSP focus.

DRAMs?

Lots of investment analyst speculation on the long term prospects.
I really see no clear signs one way or another. I can rationalize
any step back to the Asia situation since, aren't some of
the Asian countries, per press reports, delaying things
in general?
