I agree with what you're saying about TI not wanting to
exit DRAM entirely, although I hadn't given much thought to
the HDTV market for DRAM. But in addition to HDTV, DRAM is
part of TI's DLP technology. Also, Larry Brew, an ex-TIer
who is taking a sabatical from the thread (temporary I hope),
has also mentioned that DRAM is an integral part of DSP
technology.

Do we know when HDTV will actually be on the market? It seems like I have been waiting for 5 years.
