Hi GZ, at face value you'd assume that to be the case and that could be the case. But he is taking physical delivery and I think he has studied the supply / demand situation in silver for years to come and sees opportunity JMO, unless he's changed his stripes and become a day trader/speculator. I think a lot of people will have your opinion and short silver, creating a possible explosive rally to come. Soros has invested heavily in SIL - Apex Silver. Silver has a great track record in El Nino years (82-3) and also overbought market years (87') for a least a decent thrill ride.

So what is your take on the NDX? It within spitting distance of old highs.

My impression was that Buffet did not wish to leave himself open to any charges of manipulating the market secretly--or the trouble of defending against frivolous lawsuits by bad losers. So he released the Berkshire-Hathaway figures in advance.

GZ, here is a goldbug that sides with your Buffet short term trade.

Is this the peak of the rally? I don't think so, way too many precious metals bears and Buffett has yet to take full delivery. Very possible we could at least see a retest of the 87 highs. bwdik

Unemployment, Consumer Confidence are the best since the early 70's, plus we have a 73% positive rating on Clinton. It just doesn't get much better than this - does it? Remember how the decade of the 70's finished? - wasn't pretty -g-. Platform shoes, lava lamps, polyester bell-bottoms, disco -g-, people en-masse trading in Chevies for Toyotas and rampant inflation.

Now don't you wish you still had that Brady Bunch Lunch Box or that first issue of The Fantastic Four, or the whole set of the 1963 Dodgers and Yankees.
