Hi Irby

Well I think I'm now completely confused. I thought the SOES system was separate from the Market Makers. In the Castle Kill Key system it differentiates between SOES orders and Selectnet orders which it says are routed to market makers. I believe the max size in a SOES order is 1K shares whereas you can place larger orders through market makers. If that is true, what shares are you buying if you place a SOES order? It seems like there a lot of shares being bought and sold in the background while the market makers shares are sitting there showing the bid and ask. Is the software for different brokers set up to not let you make mistakes like buying the same stock within 5 minutes? If the 5 min. rule is SOES can I buy some using SOES and buy some more using Selectnet or ECN's? There are occasions where I have bought a stock and it starts to drop so I sell but then Immediately turns around (More Market Maker Monkey business?) so I want to re-buy it. Can I get around the 5 min rule by using different options like that? Is there a good reason for the 5 min rule?

Thanks
