Dom B. Re: Intel in the Philippines

Intel completed a huge (600,000 sq. ft.) assembly facility in Cavite, south of Manila - I don't know if this is in the Science and Industry Park or not. Right after completion of that plant (last year) Intel began building another 200,000 sq. ft. facility right across the street from the first!

The new Cavite factory produces the SEC Pentium II cartridges, among other products!

Intel is also building or just finished building a large warehouse somewhere in the Philippines. I don't know if that is the 200,000 sq. ft. building or not.

One of Intel's main Assembly Plants, A2, has been in Makati (Manila) since 1973 or 1974 - so Intel has been in the Philippines for a very long time.

I suppose they should have taken up lady's shoe manufacturing during the Marcos regime - but they didn't!
