Starting to see the wisdom here: both sides CAN lose. Lots of losing going on already. Someone had to do something to learn about the wolf and provide this advice.. And here: "A strange game. The only winning move is not to play." Some interesting comments follow that clip. Here's where the Wolf meme came from. web.archive.org I think the colors - Black vs Gray are intentional. Gray area. Assumptions could be wrong.

but let there be no mistake: this is a situation where there are no good guys. Ukraine is utterly corrupt. The good news is that we may have found a situation where we can be happy that both sides CAN lose. During the Iraq-Iran war Kissinger said "why can't they both lose?" A variation of that is the best solution for this conflict. Ukraine has already lost <10% of population to exile, most will not return. The industrial infrastructure is largely gone and the farmers will miss a planting season. The economy is destroyed and the western "supporters" will lose interest when the shooting stops. The territory lost in 2014 is unlikely to be the only loss. The best scenario for Ukraine is still a big loss. For Russia, they have spent $billions with little to show for it and their non-nuclear forces exposed as worthless. They will suffer economic losses both from the sanctions and the departure of most western businesses. Russia is unlikely to regain its status as a near equal to UAS and China, it has also already lost. The best we can hope for is that the shooting stops relatively soon.
