a billion barrels recoverable, legally in CA.. {without greenpeace buggers scaling fences and causing havoc} is worth 100-1000 times more than the sulfuric,land locked possibly unrecoverable similar "potential" in a corrupt foreign land.. but since the permabulls are down... i may buy a few shares.. plus within 2 weeks {real 2 weeks} saddam may have a problem and the oil price per bbl may turn around~ rapidly.. especially compounded with buffetts interest in other commodities.. oil may jump.. i am not buying any oil futures... may buy a small pile of select shares though.. taxi

Bama<I know that California is a far cry from Kaz, but AIPN is thought to have 1.1 billion in the smaller structure. Upside still is huge.> Do you honestly believe this is relevent? Do you think the costs will be the same,bringing each of these potential fields to bare fruit? Apples and oranges my friend...DD (not trying to flame-IMO, there can be no comparison drawn.)
