it isn't going to become a staple for americans {buying BOOKS online} unless the discounts are greater.. remember the catalogs of cds and book clubs ?? {doubleday, etc} they are still around and offer discounts also.. however.. why doesn't everyone keep getting books this way? plain and simple.. besides not wanting the flavor of the month.... we want to buy those books POP.. i bought a book for my wife at borders fri{or thurs} I went there for myself and bought nothing for me.. i have a stack of unread stuff, had some time to kill and wanted to see what was new.. i will go back again in a week or two when i am done with what i have.. i have two books that i probably will never read.. one by ken kragen{life is a contact sport} and early reagan.. which i have had here as a paper weight for about 5 years.. i will read it..eventually.. no way will i be that pety to try and save a measly buck by ordering thru amazon.. btw some of the best books i bought at the overstock "book outlet store".. for like less than half cover sometimes 1/3.. especially great for computer stuff.. amazon.. will disappear.. not today not tomorrow.. will diversify to try for income.. will not be able to succeed in such a lofty manner.. need people to be able to see the books.. and scan thru.. the more people that use the net to surf.. the more will want to GO OUT and buy this stuff.. i am on the net like 50 hours a week,.sometimes more.. I want OUT..once in a while.. taxi
