I didn't hear the CC. Whatever else Q managment are a really intelligent bunch. OK the argument about the share price over the last two years is a fact as the opening message on this thread makes clear.
BUT

Did the management sound on the CC that they were in trouble or nervous or seriuosly concerened about the ongoing battle. The reason I ask this is that as you rightly point out the warning is very early in the Q and they could have been and indeed have been critisized. But maybe there is a something positive behind their upfront announcement.

If as you say the analysts are putting out estimates lower than the CC indicated might be acheivable and assuming that the analysts didn't get something additional when they no doubt phoned their contacts in the company then perhaps managements strategy is to issue the warning first and some good news about a major contract at the AGM or later this week?

I know this may be a hopeful long shot but the management of Q are v.good and I am hoping they've got a strategy.
