you obviously don't understand the underlying technical issues if you believe that field expansion solutions and 4 digit data exchange issues are the same thing....

Just to elaborate on what Tech Master is saying...

How data is stored internally by a program (i.e. 2 digit year, 4 digit year, Julian, Gregorian, Bigitized etc.) is of no consequence to the data exchange standard to which that program must conform. It is up to the software to convert the date to the prescribed format.
