Wolf Mountain...

PGE deposits, here are a few tidbits that may be of interest:

- platinum and palladium are commonly associated with other metals including rhodium, chromium, nickel and copper
- the Bushveld complex in South Africa is a tilted and eroded volcanic intrusion which resembles 'a layered cake', comprised of a number of 'reefs' ranging from 25 cm in width to several metres/the geological structure extends 400 km with numerous ore bodies/'pits' + shafts are used to access the reef(s)

- eg. AMPLATS Rustenburg Platinum Mines

1. Merensky Reef (source of 80% of South Africa's PGEs, Platinum/Palladium+Rhodium ratio is 3:1, with significant nickel and copper, surrounded by two chromite bands)

2. UG2 Reef {200 metres below the Merensky Reef, Platinum/palladium ratio is 3:1, contains chromium, less base metals)

Given the above, no question why AVL decided to stake a large area around the initial Wolf Mountain claims.
